New Musics

So, over Thanksgiving break I made a list of songs that I like. Here are some of the winners:

Bad Romance - Lady Gaga
Body Language - Jesse McCartney
Meet Me Halfway - Black Eyed Peas
Lollipop - Mika
Fireflies - Owl City
Forever - Chris Brown (plus this video comes with a little something extra)
911 and that ipod song - Sean Kingston
I'm Yours - Jason Mraz

I hope you enjoy them like I do.

Which one is your favorite?

Why do you like or dislike the songs listed above?
Any comments are welcome, whether they be for or against.

Chris Brown beats women.

So now I'm embarrassed of my long comment because of Yolanda's short one. And yes, he does beat women, so I hate him for that. But you have to admit that's a good song.

And if you're wondering if I listened to each song and took notes during it so I could share my thoughts, you are right.

Bad Romance—I have to be honest, I have yet to hear a Lady Gaga song I dislike. They are all GREAT. And so catchy, you know? I like Poker Face better than this one though.

Body Language—I spent the first half of this song getting over the fact that it was Jesse McCartney. Remember Beautiful Soul? That was a good song. I spent the second half deciding I do not like this song. It said the word “body” way too many times, which makes me feel weird. Also I kept thinking I heard the F word but it was really something else. Also white guys who decide to be rappers get a thumbs down from me.

Meet me Halfway—I usually have higher expectations for awesome from the Black Eyed Peas. But the glimpses I caught of the video (I’m at work, so only glimpses will do) were really great. I liked the song though. It was more normal than most BEP. That’s what I call them, what?

Lollipop—Meh. I didn’t love it but didn’t dislike it either. It was really catchy though.

Fireflies—I like this song. It’s good. It reminds me of Postal Service.

Forever—This is the one from The Office! I like this song.

911—I like Sean Kingston. And the picture at the VERY beginning reminded me of the ceiling painting of the glorification of St. Ignatius by Fra Pozzo. I’m not sure why, but that’s the first thing I thought of when I saw it. I didn’t like the other one as much, but I liked it too. But 911 was good.

I’m Yours—I love this song. They play it on the radio like every 5 seconds (well, probably not as much anymore, but they used to, and I used to listen to the radio a LOT when I worked at Centennial) and I NEVER got sick of it. I really like it. And don’t hate me but one of my favorite parts is the scatting at the end. I didn’t say it made me feel comfortable, I’m just saying I like it. This and Lucky make me love Jason Mraz.
